Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled
Dear MBC Church Family,
We’ve come through another blessed week with the words of our Savior ever real in our minds, “My peace I give to you,” and “Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” The times we’ve shared together every day in prayer have been very special moments, encouraging one another with testimonies, prayers, and insights into His Word. Some of the truths that God kept speaking to us about were His protection over us, His love for us, and the joys we can still have despite the constant drumbeat of desperation all around us. Another verse that rang true to us is Psalm 46:1, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
With His assurance of watching over us, we will continue with the in-person and remote prayer times and worship services as long as this pandemic lasts. Now more than ever because of the mental stress taking its toll in our communities, we will make ourselves available to anyone who needs to take a break from the causes for alarm and come by the church for prayer, for a word of encouragement, or simply to hear a voice of compassion.
While we go through this pandemic together, here are several ways for us to stay in fellowship with each other; either in-person; by using the following Skype link: https://join.skype.com/P8TRBZjej8aU; or by using this conference call number: Dial-in: (978) 990-5159, Access Code: 294069.
Sunday morning Worship Service (11:30am - Touchless Worship, social distancing)
Monday through Saturday Noontime Prayer (12:00pm-1:00pm)
Thursday evening Bible Study (7:00pm – 8:00pm)
Additionally, the grounds of the church are open every day for visitors to come, meditate and pray at the permanent display of the Stations of the Cross. This is an ideal time for us to take an exercise break and walk the Stations while communing with God in a safe environment. Feel free to pass on to your family and friends the attached ad that appeared in The Bowie Blade about the Stations of the Cross. If anyone feels overwhelmed, someone will always be at the church at noon every day of the week to pray for them.
God bless and keep you and your family.
